A Promise Made. A Promise Kept. A Promise Nearly Fulfilled
For more than four decades, Rotary has led one of the most ambitious public‑health missions in history: the complete eradication of polio. Since 1979, Rotarians have helped immunize over 2.5 billion children in 122 countries, driving polio cases down by 99.9% and protecting generations from a disease that once paralyzed hundreds of thousands each year.
District 7430 and our Rotary Clubs have been part of this story — raising funds, building awareness, and standing shoulder‑to‑shoulder with global partners to ensure every child receives lifesaving protection. Today, the world is closer than ever to ending polio forever. But the final 0.1% is the hardest, and it will take all of us to finish the job.
This year, District 7430 invites every club, every member, and every community partner to join our PolioPlus Engagement Campaign — a united effort to push the world across the finish line.
How You Can Help Finish the Fight
- Club Sponsorship Contributions
Clubs can make a direct contribution to The Rotary Foundation for PolioPlus. Every $250 club contribution earns one share in the Race to Zero PolioPlus profits, credited to the club’s Polio Plus Foundation account — a powerful way to support eradication. Why Your Support Matters
Polio is now confined to only a few places on earth — but as long as it exists anywhere, children everywhere remain at risk. A single case can spark an outbreak. A single missed vaccination can leave a child vulnerable. And a single District, united in purpose, can help end this disease for good.
District 7430’s PolioPlus Campaign is more than fundraising. It is a promise — to protect children we will never meet, to honor Rotary’s legacy, and to ensure polio becomes a chapter in history, never again a threat to humanity.
